We are a small non-profit farm animal sanctuary located in Columbus, Wisconsin. Our goal is to give refuge to farm animals who've been abused, abandoned, or are otherwise in need of care and shelter. Although the majority of our residents here today are sheep, we are open to helping wherever there is a need.
The Sweet Potato Farm is named after one of our biggest and friendliest rescued sheep. We learned his name one day as we ventured out into the pasture with a bowl of sliced sweet potatoes. Out of the crowd of shy and untrusting wethers and ewes, this thin, woolly fellow stomped ahead and downed the bowl of sweet potato treats in seconds flat. From then on, he became known as our Sweet Potato.
